District design: long-term vision creates state-of-the-art athletics facilities

Collaborative partnership at every step

The Athletics District at OSU is prominently located along the northern edge of campus, situated between Lane Avenue and Ackerman Road along State Route 315. The 200-acre property is home to major sports and entertainment venues, athletic practice facilities, and student housing.

For over a decade, EDGE has contributed to the planning and detailed design for numerous projects within the district. Collaborating with the university, the Athletic Department, and design teams, EDGE has completed facility master planning, pedestrian circulation analysis, district topographic study, field layout, and landscape architectural design throughout the district.

Specific work includes studies, renovations or complete design for the Schottenstein Center, Varsity Football Practice Fields, Varsity Field Hockey Stadium, Varsity Tennis Center, and the Varsity Baseball Stadium.
