Student Success Center

The prominently located rain garden creates an educational opportunity in addition to mitigating storm water run-off.

This new classroom building at Wright State University will provide space to support the academic achievement of first generation and academically at risk college students. EDGE has provided landscape architectural services for this 2.4 acre site that include site programming, building location, site design and construction administration. Specific site elements have included entry plazas, courtyards, terraced seat walls, rain gardens and landscaping. Specific challenges that have been handled with sensitivity include providing accessibility for all of the building entries and providing connections to existing adjacent buildings. The project is pursuing LEED certification. The construction cost for EDGE responsible items exceeds $450,000.
