Nashville experienced the worst flooding in 80 years in the spring of 2010. The immediate community response to clean up and rebuild was inspiring. Included in that effort was the creation of a plan that would not only create a framework to safeguard against future disasters, but to establish action steps to for sustainable neighborhood solutions. EDGE worked with a national team of experts to create this visionary plan in an expedited, yet inclusive, four month process. EDGE responsibilities included assessment, public engagement participation, and the creation of specific "Community Visions" for some of the catalytic neighborhood development projects.
